The River School is an international model for the inclusive education of young children ages 18 months through Grade 3. At River, children with hearing loss who use cochlear implants or hearing aids are taught alongside hearing peers in every classroom. The school uses a unique co-teaching model that pairs a master’s level educator and a speech-language pathologist full time in each classroom.
The River School also operates a hearing and speech clinic which provides an array of services, including audiological evaluations and support, infant ABR testing, auditory verbal therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, counseling and educational services.
